30 forward thinking organisations met in the Dakota Hotel in Eurocentral to discuss the merits of applying Lean Thinking in the organisation.
The event was hosted by a strategic partner, Integrys who specialise in the supply of Microsoft Dynamics which offers organisations the ability to drill down through the data to identify areas that can deliver better performance.
Some of the messages that came through were about the buy in that’s required by everyone in the business, especially the Leadership. It was discussed during the various topics that the most important people who must believe that change is good and meaningful are the senior management. The reasoning was simple in that it’s the senior leadership of the business that have the ability, the authority to make things happen.
Whether it’s the secretary or someone on the shop floor, having Leadership that embraces the suggestions that lead to creating efficiency at any and every stage of the business is a must for Lean Thinking to be a success.
